Image result for pope francis1. Pope Francis lives a very interesting life. He is not just a religious person that preaches about the Bible. Jorge Mario Bergoglio(Pope Francis) is like any other human. He went to school, had relationships, and was very social. Bergoglio then heard a call from God for him to become a priest and help spread the word of God. Bergoglio was a very well-known man in the area he lived in. He would just walk around the streets and talk to people about their lives. He interacted with people and made their days. Bergoglio then became Pope. Many were happy to see him become the Pope, but sad that they had to share him with the world. He was not a desk Pope, but a Pope who wanted to be seen as any other human and he wanted to care for his people. This struck me most because this is a Pope who often went to towns and talk and care for citizens.

Image result for writings2. The topics about Pope Francis' writings are about caring and creating a healthy environment. In Lumen Fidei, Francis is focusing on how our faith in God can lead us to happiness(light). Even if some people do not believe in the same religion, they can be lead to happiness simply by being kind and choosing to do right. His second writing is Evangelii Gaudium. This writing focuses on how a community can bring joy. Pope Francis does not want to leave anyone out and make sure his message spreads. Vultum Dei Quaerere explains the importance in life and how women impact the world so much. He is explaining that women are important and make a big difference in the world and no one should be in their way. His writing about Joy is Amoris Laetitia. His focus is on family time and spending time with others. Misericordia et Misera is a writing about Peace and Mercy. Pope Francis encourages everyone to create a peaceful enviornment. Lastly, his most famous writing is Laudato Si and it talks about the enviornment. It is about taking care for our environment. All of St. Francis' writings focuses on respecting and caring for people, animals, women, and the environment.

Image result for take action3. Pope Francis is a pope that talks about change and then takes action to make change. Pope Francis is changing how we treat our elders. He is also changing our views on how we see each other. Pope Francis is also changing the roles of Popes. Instead of sitting at a desk all day and giving speeches, he is taking his time to give inspirational speeches and talk face-to-face to people who are really in need. He regularly goes to towns and just talks to people about their lives. He is taking actions instead of talking about how he can change our world. Pope Francis also changing perspectives on each other. He states that each one of us are different and we should not judge our differences. Pope Francis is instead celebrates differences than sees it negatively.

Image result for acceptance4. Some hopes I have for the present day Catholic Church are for them to accept differences and to take action instead of talking about action. I learned that each one of us are created equally. I believe that women can be more active in the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is a male dominant environment, I think that women should be a little bit more involved. I also think that the Church should not always have negative views on differences. They should instead celebrate our differences. I also think that the Catholic Church should celebrate God in more creative ways to engage younger audiences. Many more younger people will be more engaged and take in more from what the Catholic Church preaches.
